It serves as a sound foundation for helping post-graduate students of various Indian Universities/Institutes to develop their professional skills, knowledge, and abilities. Over 100 post-graduate students are being trained every year as Summer/Winter Interns.

Post-graduate students in their second year / last semester, studying Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences are eligible to apply. Online application on the CSIR-NGRI website opens each year in January for the Summer Internships and in October for the Winter Internships.
