Research Area

Dr. Tarun C. Khanna is currently a research scientist in Geochemistry Division of CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, India. He has received B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from the Osmania University, Hyderabad. Dr. Khanna did his Post- Doc in the Department of Earth & Ocean Sciences, University of South Carolina, under the guidance of Prof. Gene M. Yogodzinski and Asst. Prof. Michael Bizimis. Dr. Khanna’s research areas include Precambrian geology and geochemistry, evolution of Archean greenstone belts and crustal growth processes; Subduction zone magmatism, geochronology and Isotope geochemistry involving Lu-Hf, Sm-Nd and Pb-Pb systematics.

  • Recipient of Raman Research Fellowship 2019-2020, conferred by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India.
