Integration of MT datasets with available geological, borehole, gravity, and tectonic information reveals a structurally controlled geothermal system associated with major fault zones and fractured basement structures. The 3D MT inversion delineates prominent conductive anomalies (<20 Ω.m) extending to depths of ~5-6 km beneath the Tatapani Fault zone. These conductive zones are interpreted as fluid-saturated and hydrothermally altered regions. The results inferred that the Tatapani geothermal system is primarily controlled by tectonic reactivation and convective hydrothermal circulation within the fractured Proterozoic basement.
