Dr. Prabha Pandey is presently working as Scientist at NGRI, Hyderabad. She received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Geology from the H.N.B. Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal. She carried out Ph.D. and post-doctoral research at Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun. She was Lecturer (Asst. Professor) at Department of Geology, BHU, Varanasi where she taught Environmental Geology and Igneous Petrology. She was also an Adjunct Faculty at Dept. of Geological Sciences, SDSU, San Diego, CA-USA during 2010-2011. Her research interests include Paleoseismology (Neotectonics), Tectonic-geomorphology and Himalayan geodynamics. She is especially interested in understanding Soft Sediment Deformation structures and their trigger mechanism in basins.
