Research Area

My research interest in numerical modelling of the Geodynamics process is the following topics

1. Intraplate Tectonic Stress and Deformation Modelling: Utilising the finite element method, this model computes the intraplate tectonic stress of both the Indian and Arabian plates to enhance our understanding of the region's geodynamics and seismicity.

2. Interplate Tectonic Stress and Deformation Modelling: This focuses on the Himalaya collision zone and the Andaman subduction zone, analysing the stress dynamics between these tectonic plates.

3. Thermal Isostasy and Rheological Modelling: This aspect examines the Indian plate's thermal isostasy and rheology to better understand its geodynamics and structural characteristics.

4. Integrated Modelling: This combines data on gravity, geoid anomalies, seismic velocity, surface heat flow, and geochemistry to provide a comprehensive delineation of the Earth's structure in the region.
