Dr. A.V. Satya Kumar obtained his Ph.D. from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam & CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, India. He has worked as a project scientist at CSIR-Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, India, and visiting Research Fellow at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Shanghai, China. His research interests are Satellite Geodesy, Gravimetry, Planetary Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Structure, Tectonics, Paleomagnetism, Rock magnetism, and Magneto-stratigraphy. He has been active in research projects on Earth and Moon and published 12 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and four manuscripts are under review. In addition to the research publications, he has been working collaboratively with scientists/professors throughout the globe on different projects. He is the recipient of the Young Scientist Award 2021 by Telangana Academy of Sciences, Hyderabad, CLSE Summer Intern program (2019), Lunar and Planetary Institute, Houston, TX, USA, CSIR-Senior Research Fellow, New Delhi, India, Pratibha Award, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Travel Grant Award to attend the international conference and SEG annual meeting held in Houston, TX, USA in September-2013, Gold Medal from Andhra University and also received University merit certificate and state level merit certificates. He worked from 2012 to 14 as a Student Event Manager of the SEG- Andhra University Student Chapter and Secretary of SEG, SPG, IGU- NGRI Student Chapter (2017-18). He is also a member of several societies.
